Hey Folks! Danny here. Today I want to talk about the "Customer Photos From Instagram" section that can be found on all product detail pages.
I made this feature for a few reasons. One is so that potential customers can see the product for what it is by checking out photos taken by real customers. Personally, when I look for something to buy I always google photos taken by real customers and I think most consumers do the same.
Another reason is that I want to repay the favor in driving traffic to your Instagram account for all the help you have been in sharing Smart Doll lurve.
Getting your Instagram photos onto the Smart Doll online store is easy and the approval process is usually done within a day. Just go to a product page, scroll down to the Customer Photos section and click/tap “Add your Photo!” then paste in the URL (link) of your Instagram photo for that product. From the Instagram app or web browser you can tap on the three dots and tap on “copy link.”
Your photo will then go into a queue where I approve or reject photos. Scroll down to the bottom of this page to see an example of the types of photos that have been approved for Mirai Anniversary - she's so cute!
You can share not only photos of your Smart Doll but of our apparel and accessories too and you should submit your photos to the relevant product detail page. For example submit photos of your girls and the Medium Smooth Bust to that product page. Also would love to see photos of you and your Smart Doll too! And when you do share your photos on Instagram use the #smartdoll hashtag.
The following are a few examples of what might get disapproved.
As you are sharing photos on Instagram, we presume that you enjoy our stuff - thank you! Hopefully folks will be able to discover your photos from an official source and follow your account. But to folks who say "that's not enough!" I say "Ow ok then - I will choose folks who are proactively sharing their photos and reward them with goodies.
What would especially help is posting photos of wig/eye/smart doll combinations.
This feature is created using Instagram's API (Application Programming Interface) which can change without warning - and when it does we need to fix what they broke. While its broken, odd errors may appear saying that your account is invalid or private or whatever. If this happens to you please let us know so we can fix it.
Also, if the Instagram link doesn't work then try stripping it down to the bare bones from
